How a book was born

Mix together low-content book projects, a search for niche ideas, Rebecca’s knowledge of the series, Hélène’s publishing experience…

Hélène had previous experience with building crosswords from a relatively small set of selected answer words.
In one word: nocando.

Years before, Communication Cinq sur cinq, her publishing company, had been approached to build educational software to do that very thing, and her programmer son had presented mathematical proof of that impossibility.

What could be done, and what would be quite enjoyable, was crisscross puzzles. So Rebecca started building crisscross puzzles from her copious notes on each episode, using commercial educational software from the Web.

One puzzle per episode                      10
Thematic puzzles                               + 5
Total number of puzzles                   =  15

Hmmm… Fifteen puzzles is not enough

Blank square syndrome.
